On September 16, Tamil Thalaivas secured a 35-29 victory against Bengaluru Bulls at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, marking their third win in the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League 2025 (PKL 2025).
With this win, Tamil Thalaivas improved their standing to sixth place in the points table, having recorded three wins and two losses. Conversely, the defeat halted Bengaluru Bulls' impressive four-match winning streak. The Bulls had previously faced three consecutive losses before bouncing back with four victories, placing them fourth in the standings with four wins and four losses.
Crucial Win for Tamil Thalaivas
Arjun Deshwal was a standout performer for Tamil Thalaivas, achieving a Super 10, while Narendra Kandola contributed five points. For Bengaluru Bulls, Alireza Mirzaian also delivered a strong performance with another Super 10, but it was not enough to secure a win as Tamil Thalaivas emerged victorious in a nail-biting contest.
The match commenced with both teams eager to seize the early advantage. Tamil Thalaivas quickly established a two-point lead, thanks to effective raids from Arjun and solid defensive efforts from Ronak. The Bulls managed to stay competitive, scoring at critical moments. By the ten-minute mark, Tamil Thalaivas led 9-7. However, in the second quarter, the Bulls turned the tide by executing an all-out on Tamil Thalaivas, leading to a 20-14 advantage at halftime.
After the break, Tamil Thalaivas quickly scored three points, but the Bulls regained control, largely due to Alireza's consistent performance. Yet, Arjun's series of successful raids shifted the momentum, reducing the Bulls to just one player and allowing him to complete his Super 10. Capitalizing on this momentum, Tamil Thalaivas executed an all-out, taking the lead. Both teams fought hard, but Tamil Thalaivas ultimately secured a six-point victory.
